Armadillo Acres Alternative Resource Recreational Grounds is a privately owned campground located in the beautiful woods of North East Texas! We offer an array of experiences for your enjoyment!  Our land features lush fields, thick wooded areas, creeks and even a pond all filled with a plethora of native plants and creatures. Each visit is a new experience!

Our efforts are to protect the life of the land and water and give a safe and refreshing experience to our visitors.  We are a primitive camp ground where you can enjoy pitching a tent and being “one” with nature.  We strongly stand behind a "Leave No Trace" policy.

In the future we do plan to add possible sustainable amenities such as a “green” shower house. You can learn more about sustainability by visiting our page on Being Green!

As time passes we hope to have a variety of events that will be opened to the public as well as being opened to private camping, functions and festivals.

We look forward to hosting many events such as weddings, athletic events, family reunions, church or club campouts, art & music festivals and even possibly corporate nature retreats! Ask about our special rates for fundraising events for local charities and organizations

Are you looking for a quiet weekend get away with your family or that special someone? We offer private and semi private camping at an affordable price. A portion of your camping fee may be donated to Texas Parks and Wildlife or your choice of many other charitable causes.
